IKEA Radium Lighting interference with TV
I have installed the low voltage lighting kit. When I turned on the TV with the lights on I have interference lines on the screen. When I turn the lights off the lines go away. I moved the rail so it was not over the TV. With one lamp on the rail, I did not get the interference lines. But when I put a second lamp on I still got the interference lines.

Calling Ikea did not help, they had no report of an problems.

    Thanks for your help!

The low voltage lights use a transformer and that can cause your problem. It is likely on the same cicrcuit as the TV not just interferring via radio waves.

Thanks for the info. So I will have to isolate the TV or the lighting. Added information - the lighting is in the ceiling, on a switch and the TV is plugged into the wall.

Is there an easy way to isolate the transformer? I have some skill with electric - as long as I am just replacing plugs, hanging ceiling fans and changing out lighting fixtures.

There also may be a minor lose connection at a lamp or in a transformer. This loose connection can cause RF interference, along with the magnetic field of a transformer.
