I really find it upsetting that so many people are so irresponsible about breeding dogs. Those unwilling to make the major commitment doing breeding right, should spay/neurter their pets by 6 months.

I'm asking about the fleas on the puppies for a neighbor. I am very responsible for my pets and love them like children! No one has the right to judge how someone treats their animal unless they know they are being mistreated. I am very concerned about these puppies and it breaks my heart to see any animal in pain when it could be prevented or treated.

Please have your neighbor call his/her vet and get their recommendation. You may be worried about the puppies, but your neighbor needs to step up to the plate and do his/her job of taking care of the puppies properly. Phone calls to the vet don't cost anything, and a vet is more reliable than any free information you can find on the Internet. Wait long enough, and you will get all sorts of recommendations, good & bad. Why take a chance on choosing a bad one?

I heard that you could use Dawn Dish Soap, I believe that labman already referenced the appropriate previous posts.

There is an old trick I have used. Take white sage or any ground sage. YEs like you get forspice. Ground it very fine. Rub into the skin on the back. Fleas hate it. It won't clear ebvery fla out but does a fine job on dogs and cats to young for chemicals. Spray your home and rugs for them. Good Luck
