I own a Kenmore Elite 66515982990 FJ 380 3135 15982

I can not get it unlocked. To unlock, it says to hold for 4 seconds no heat drying. Doing that doesn't work.

Any solutions?

I have the same problem. The manual says to hold the button and it will unlock. It unlocks for a second but the light starts flashing again. NOTHING WORKS. If you get an answer, please forward to me as well :) thank you so much

Try resetting unit by pressing heated wash followed by heated dry about 5 times.

I had the same problem, finally had Sears out, turns out my Control Panel needs to be replaced. Sears quoted me $360 for parts and labor. I told them to take a hike.

After reading this site I think the part I need is a Whirlpool part #8530929, the Sears part does not seem to be available although I can not confirm this info as the hold on the phone for Sears is to long.

I have an appliance repairman who will try to locate the above part and fix it for me for a fraction of the cost. I
