    Outlets went out
I have 4 outlets in my house that previously worked yesterday, they went out. No fuses were tripped. The outlets still have power to them and the tester I am using is telling me that the hot/ground are reversed. How can this be when they worked for years and how can I fix the Problem? Also the power box is reading that it has power.

    Thanks,
    S Genzabella

This means that some one when they connected the black and white wires to the receptacle reversed the connections. They are suppose to connect black wire to brass screw and white wire to silver screw , they will work this way but not correct.
You may have a loose connection at one of your receptacles because the wiring jumps from one receptacle to another so when you loose one you may loose a number of them. Hope this is helpful, Mike

There is an open neutral, a white wire ha s lost it's connection someplace. Check the last working outlet and start from there.
