    Washing machine overflowing
I have a Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 series washing machine. It keeps filling and eventually overflows... it is not switching over to agitate. When I try to manually switch it over to agitate it won't do anything. It drains, spins and everything else just fine... it just won't agitate. Does anyone know what is causing this?

The WAter level switch is not working right. Also the main control switch is probley is not woking right. If so the whole switch will have to be changed. GO to SEARS that has a parts deptand buy a new switch. And install it yourself (IF) you are mech. Inclined. Just disconnect power first its not hard to do

Also can go to any appliance parts store to get the part. As Blue Eagle stated it is the water level switch also called the pressure switch. Very easy to install and not expensive
