    Apply ITIN for H4 living outside US
    Hi,

    I am an H1B holder, can I apply my wife and kids, H4 holders for ITIN so I can claim them as dependents?

    Yes.

    You file Form W-7 WITH your tax return in early 2008 to get them ITINs.

    Form W-7 and a notarzied photocopy of the passport for the applicant.
