When I put a disk in the CD ROM drive it tries to run but stops... all I have is a "floating window" waving on the screen.
I press the button to get the CD out and it won't come out.
Everything freezes up!

First, to eject a stuck drawer, try unbending a paperclip and sticking it carefully in the small pinhole under the drawer.

Does this happen with all CDs or just one? If it happens with any, you might want to consider replacing the drive. If its just one CD, replace the CD.

You may also try: Double-click on the My Computer Icon on your desktop, then right-clicking the CD ROM drive icon, then select eject. This should eject your CD.
