Hello Tom :)

My house was built in 1963 and all the water and gas plumbing pipes/tubes are copper. I have had no trouble in the 36 yrs I lived here, other then the AC drain pan getting plugged with some pieces of insulation once, but that has a pvc pipe. My question: What kind of trouble (if any) am I looking for in the future. I know all old things have a certain life expectancy- in this case what's your advise.

People have been using copper for plumbing and gas for a while. I think you are in good shape.

As Tommy says you're in good shape. Most of the repipe jobs are replacing galvanized piping with copper or CPVC. The only thing that will affect copper pipes are electrolysis and aggressive well water. Good luck, Tom
