Why is it that woman bloat so massively after getting on the depovera shot?

J_9 might be along later to help you out with this answer, but I would guess it is because of the hormones.

Depo acts differently on every one. If you notice that you are gaining 5 pounds or more in one week you need to contact your doctor.

How long have you been on it? If this is your first cycle of depo it may just be your body reacting to the hormone in the injection.

I have read several horror stories about the Depo shot, I've been on it 3 months now and I haven't put on any weight, or had any bleeding… I haven't had any side effects with the Deop shot, (If I did I haven't noticed them). I was a size 3 before and I'm still size 3. I do take a calcium supplement, & multi Vitamin, while taking the shot, because I was told it reduces bone density.
