I am recently divorced left my wife with the house I have a lien for 73,000 .I signed a quick claim via my attorney.I found out she refinanced and paid of a punch of dept. I have not been paid for the lien,haw did she do this without paying me off?

I'm not completely clear on the details.

She owes you $73,000 for the house? And you have this recorded with the county against the house?

Or you owed $73,000 on the house to a bank or mort. Company?

Also, if you used an attorney for the divorce they should be able to steer you through this issue.

My divorce was final June 19-07 the quick claim ,fixed lien and divorce has not been filled with the county ,they told me they are backed up and the title company should have requested the divorce decree and the quick claim with the lien information.I don't know how she could have refinanced without having me sign a release or paying me off my lien amount of $73,000.
