I only found one hit in searching the web for that exact message:

If you have an AOpen video card, it may do the trick for you.

There is a long history of shut down problems with Windows, especially Win 98. If you gop to support.microsoft.com and search on Shutdown problems you will find several troubleshooting articles.Quote:
