I am 19 years old. My sister's friend is a 15 year old mother of a two month old. Her mother is on drugs, has a long criminal record and has an unstable home. By unstable I mean, they have no gas and electric on at their house, no food and the temperature has been reaching record breaking heights. :mad: Which is not only endangering this 15 year old child, but could be life threatening to her two month old daughter. Can I legally file for and get custody of the both of them, even though I am not a family relative?:confused:

Contact the local child protective services or other organization that could give you some professional advice and help. I see 2 issues. 1. the safety of the children, 2. your getting custody.
