    Internet Explorer Script Error
I am having a tough time printing from websites. I just purchased a Hewlett Packard laptop and it has got Windows Vista (I don't know if that really matters), but in any case, I keep getting the following error:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

    Line: 1854
    Char: 1
    Error: Unspecified error.
    Code: 0
    URL: res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No

It does not matter what I print online, I get this error and it does not matter whether I answer Yes or No, I still cannot print.

Please help me. Oh, and by the way, I read on a blog that RegCure can help and I just purchased the full version of it hoping to get a resolution to my problem and it did not help matters.

    Hi AnnX,

Ok, its highly unlikely that the script error is related to the printing issue as scripts influence the website directly and not your browers printing functionality.

Click on Tools, Internet Options.. then select the "Advanced" tab, uncheck the "Display a notification about every script error" and click OK. This will stop you getting that error.

As to your printing problem, select File, Print and make sure your printer is listed in the "Select Printer" area.

If it is not, then your printer isn't (properly) installed. Try reinstalling it.

If it is, then try printing a test page. Start -> Control Panel -> Printers -> Right Click on your printer icon, select Options and Print Test Page.

If it prints, right click on your printer icon and select "make as default".

Note, there may be a few discrepancies in my help because I'm working off the top of my head right now. :)

    Hope this helps

    Regards,
    Sebastien

Close Internet explorer and Outlook explorer before you begin!

Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 ole32.dll in the run textbox.

Click OK and check whether you can print.

How can you fix an internet explorer script error?

I cannot get on to the internet. It won't let me close the error box.

    Answers:
Id run a very thorough virus check first, then if no avail, completely remove IE and reinstall.

Here my friend... your browser (internet explorer or anything is need to be updated)...

Some websites at this time are highend and new that is not familiar in the old version of internet...

Or check if there is a disabled feature for scripts with your browser...

Scripting can not be affected by virus and its not a fault whom...

There is only 4 posible reasons why:
    1. Internet Browser is not capable with that particular script.
    2. Internet Browser is not allowing scripts.
    3. Your Program is crashed.
    4. Your OS system files are some missing...

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from Mozilla - Home of the Firefox web browser and Thunderbird email client Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

    You can try the following.

    Open IE (Internet Explorer)

Go to Tools then select Internet Options

    Go to Advanced tab

    Tick Disable Script debugging (other)
Tick Disable Script debugging (internet explorer)

    Press Apply then click OK

    Or..

    1. Go to the Start menu and choose "Run..."

    2. Type "regsvr32 actxprxy.dll" and click "OK." You should see some text that reads "DllRegisterServer in actxprxy.dll succeeded".

    3. Now go to the Start menu again and choose "Run..."

    4. Type "regsvr32 shdocvw.dll" and click "OK." You should now see some text that reads "DllRegisterServer in shdocvw.dll succeeded".

    5. Restart your computer.
