    Drug rehab
In June I got custody of my 2 grandchildren due to their mother using and selling drugs. DCS was not called in but she voluntarially gave up custody for min of 12 months. The judge STONGLY suggested, but did not order a hair follicle drug test so there would be a benchmark established for showing inprovemnt, drug rehab, and therapy. She has done none of this and was tested positive for meth on 7/3 and 7/5 in 2 different counties and sent to a mental health institute where they could only legally hold her for 96 hrs and cut her loose. Since then she has been attending NA meetings. Is this considered rehab?

NA can be considered rehab in a loose sense of the word, very loose, as the people attending are or were addicts and no professional help is actually given.

The actual terminology for NA is "support group" and NOT rehab as this is a peer-to-peer group where other addicts support each other in trying to become sober and maintain sobriety.

For something to be considered rehab in the true sense of the word there has to be a professional present to help with the mental and physical issues of addiction.
