I have the same hair type as you. Use a hot flat iron straightener. I always do mine after I blow dry it. Then after I use my straightener, I use Redken gloss in my hair to take care of any frizz.

I got same problem here's what I do : I got a hair cut that got my hair less thick
Anyway you could when you shower your hair use conditioner and don't wash the whole thing off then blow dry it like christy said and use any good kind straightening cream and straighten it , with a flat iron
Or you could get someone to iron it for you
And at the end add a bit of straightening cream so it won't come out fuzzy

If you don't want to use a hair dryer or straightening iron, the best I can suggest is getting your hair slightly thinned at the hairdresser like think_pink said and then, after you wash it, as it's drying keep smoothing and pulling your hair down. Try to avoid the roots of your hair though, touching them too much can stimulate oil production.
