1999 Honda Civic AC doesn't work
My friend tried to recharge the AC on my car since AC was not really strong in my car. I think he put too much Freon. Because of that, he said there is a hole in the AC compressor. He told me that I need to replace the AC compressor.

Is there any way to fix it without replacing AC?

Otherwise, it would cost me a lot of money. Compressor cost plus labor? Any idea how much about?

    Thanks

May have blown out the compressor seals if not watching the guages when filling it. Haven't heard of anyone blowing out the compressor body wall but it could happen.

Horrendous expense to have dealer fix. Cheaper for A/C shop. Cheapest is to A/C shop diagnose it, then if you need it, use yellow pages to find a/c compressor rebuilders/wholesale house. Far more cheaper to buy it, put it in yourself and have a/c shop adjust and fill it.
Key at this pooint to have a/c shop run diagnostics on it. If you can find the a/c dryer, you can run the engine and watch the sight glass to see if there are bubbles in the a/c fluid while the engine is running. The more bubbles, the lower your fluid.

    Best of luck.
