    Semi-Structured Knowledge Systems
    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Thank you for allowing me into this valuable portal of knowledge.

    My question is:

    How do Semi-Structured Knowledge Systems actually take unstructured data such as memos, letters, e-mails, etc. and convert them into knowledge systems that make for easy retrieval at later times?

    Et strukturert kunnskapsystem baserer seg på historiske hendelser og fakta. Etablerte prosedyrer for behandling av problem. Konkrete løsning.
    Et semi-strukturert kunnskapssystem baserer seg på retningslinjer, men gir rom for improvisasjon og skjønn. Ofte kommunisert arbeidskollegaer imellom via f.eks. Mail, sms, notater, osv.

    Without knowing hands-on experince as I've never coding one of these myself, but from a general point of view here is how I would create one if I was coding it myself.

    1. Take message, email, memo etc
    2. Scan body of message, ignore title etc
    3. Picking out certain keywords pre-defined for certain topics/categories.
    4. File the text into a database to be recalled based on the keywords asked
