    Hi,

    Can anybody help my cat has just had fouyr kittens two weeks ago and two of the kittens have got eye infection with a crust of yellow goo in their eyes, does anybody know how this can be treated? :confused:

    Cats get these quite often, you need to take the kitten to the vet though just so the kitten can get medication for the eye infection. You don't want the other kittens getting this also. The vet will most likely give you a medication you smear on the infected eye and after that the infection goes away quite fast

    Call the animal feed store in your area [Yellow Pages under "Feed Dealers"], ask for animal eye antibiotics, as the feed store will more than likely have an ointment that will help your cat for about $9. or $10. Feed stores usually carry antibiotics for farm animals of all kinds which is much cheaper than the vet. Of course if the infection doesn't show signs of improvement, then the vet would be the only answer. I always try the feed store 1st.
