Geometry Surface area for a cylinder with cone on top
I need some help on the way to solve for the surface area of a cylinder with a cone on the top. I think that I solve for the surface area of the cone, then solve for the surface of the cylinder. I have the height from the center of the bottom circle to the apex of the cone, and I have the radius for the circle. I also have the height of the side of the cylinder. Once I get the SA for the cone and the cylinder, I think I should subtract once of the areas of the circles since it is included in the cylinder's surface area as well as in the surface area of the cone. I just need guidance on this problem.
Thanks!
