    Exponential and logs
    How would you solve this worded equation:

    A satellite city was established ten years ago. For the last eight years, the city's population, P, has been growing according to the rule

    P=klog10(n) (where 10 is the base of log)
    where "k" is a constant and "n" is the number of years since the city was established. The city's population is now 100000.

    a) Find the value of k.

    Thanks

    "
    Quote:

    n" is the number of years since the city was established
    so n=10

    Log1010=1

    =>P=K

    I think you can get the answer on your own now.
