    American Holidays
    Dear everyone,

I am still new to this country, not familiar with a few holidays. In America, what do you do to celebrate Labor Day?

My favourite one is Halloween:D so far, I can't believe I can dress up ANYTHING I want, how awesome it is!!

If you have any other interesting holiday history and story, please share with me.

    Thank you in advance.:)

Labor Day is generally celebrated with parades. Its also the traditional end of summer and people often celebrate with BBQs.

Oh... I see. Ah~, my friend has invited me to her family for lunch next Monday, I guess I will be eating BBQ then. Yummy:)
What would you suggest to bring for the lunch next Monday?

Take something sweet (like you) with chocolate in it, like brownies.

Or if it is hot, you could bring a big ole fruit salad!

Labor Day is like celebrating having a job by taking a day off!
LOL I think the whole world should celebrate having enough work.
We just need to mark the significant end of summer, school has begun again in most areas. And it's also a reminder to finish shopping for Halloween and start shopping for Christmas.

Oh no, don't get to Christmas yet, I can't handle that yet. I still need to get my summer over with.

Well then I hate to do this to you... Macy's in my town has their Christmas trees AND ornaments out already. I nearly fell over when I saw them.

Yet - Macy's does not have out all their Fall shoes... where are their priorities??

Nicepsringgirl you will also notice that all of our summer holidays are pretty much the same. Everyone has big BBQ's, goes to the beach, watches fireworks, parades. I guess it just seems like the best time of the year for eating too much BBQ and watching big explosions in the sky.

I agree Halloween is the best! I love giving out candy to the kids that's my new favorite part. They all look so cute!
