    Dead rats or a sewage?
We have had a rat problem for about six months now. They seem to be traveling from our neighbors house onto our property.. only to find a sudden death. We have placed traps ALL over the areas we have heard them and have killed about 7. GROSS! Lately (within the last two days) our bathrooms both smell like poop or very nasty shoes. I cleaned both toilets really well as well as the rest of the bathroom in attempts to remove the stench. I closed the guest bathroom door and turned on the fan, also hoping to eliminate the odor... no avail. It STINKS so bad. Could is be a dead rat somewhere in our attic, or in our pipes? Those two areas stink the worst, though the whole house, small as it is, has the aroma of funk. What do you think?

I think you have a dead rat that's smelling up your house. Get up on the roof and sniff the vents. If you find one with a really foul smell then auger out the dead critter. Good luck, Tom
