    125mm waste pipe
Can someone tell me if the drainage pipes from the kitchen sink are supposed to join directly onto the same 125mm waste pipe that the toilets are also connected to? Iam in the process of refurbishing my flat and have come across such a setup.

Does anyone know if this is legal? Surely there must be a health issue with dish water potentially being exposed to sewage?

Your system is configured correctly and conforms to code. Water seal traps isolate and prevent any fixtures contact with the sewer main. Your worries are needless. If I can help with your remodel let me know. Also since I had to look up 125MM. I'm assuming you're not in the States. Metric never caught on here. Cheers, Tom
