Making son sleep in other room

Could you elaborate a little more on your question please? What is the situation?

I am divorced and my ex-husband and I share customdy. Our daughter is now 10 years old. Her father takes her "when" he doesn't have other plans. He (father) moved in with a new girl friend and they don't have a bedroom for her - she sleeps on the couch. The woman has a teen-age son that comes and goes all hours of the night. Isn't there any laws on having a bed room for a child - even if it is just once in a while?
