I would like to open a hotdog stand how do I go about permits
Go to your local town hall and ask them.
That was good advice and the place to start. In Toronto there are many vendors in the downtown area, such as outside the museum and regulations are very stringent as to how hot they keep the sausages and buns, etc.
And Curlyben, I don't ever want to see your little person with the tongue sticking out behind me, it gives me nightmares. Is he a vampire, werewolf, alien being like from the movie Alien, etc. scary stuff, where did you find him, somewhere in England, maybe a crop circle;I can't find anything like that in Ontario.
Yes, city hall, for vending permits, business license, the health department for a license to sell foods, they will have to inspect your stand, and how you store, prepare and serve your food before you can start.
I have been through this process several times. I recommend looking on the website of the city or county that you live in to find the "office of business licensing" or "business license office". If you have a hard time finding the website from a search, then look in the local phone book under the city or county name and find the business license office number or call the general info line and they will redirect you. Either of these avenue will yield the info you need to complete the process. If you plan to due business in more than one municipality then you will need a license from each.Quote:
