First if you miss you period that's a good insite, being sick to your stomach, tired all the time. Why do you think your pregnant?

If you are taking your pill correctly and not on antibiotics, you shouldn't get pregnant. However, if you miss your period and think you may be DISCONTINUE taking the pill and get tested. Taking the pill while pregnant can cause damage to the baby.

There is no chance I am pregnant unless god has chosen me for the second coming.

Well if the only reason you bleed on the pill is a withdrawl bleed then couldn't you bleed when you were pregnant as well?

Are you asking just as a curious thing?

Yea, just curious - I haven't ecvven had sex yet so its not me needing an answer.

Because you can miss a withdrawl bleed and not be pregnant, you can get pregnant on the pill I was just wondering do you need a pregnancy test to tell?

Yup. In order to tell you are pregnant you do need a test to confirm it. There are the tests you get at the drugstore then doctors also perform urine tests or blood tests in order to detect the pregnancy hormone.

You can get pregnant on the pill I've had friends who have. The reason is that the pill is very effective but its not 100%. Not even a condom is 100%.the only thing that is 100% is not having sex.

The problem with the pill is that women do not take it at the same time every single day. Sometimes they miss pills or take it at 8sm one day 10am the next. In order for a hormone treatment of any kind to be effective you have to have a really good regime in place.

Would taking the pill half an hour late / early make a big difference?

Half an hour isn't going to be a problem, I would think. 2 or more and your hormones are going to get weird.

I used to take mine right before bed each night because they made me queasy.

I became pregnant while on the pill. Taking it 1/2 hour late or even a few hours doesn't matter very much. Taking it every day and using back up during use of antibiotics and some other meds is essential to them working at their 99% efficiency. (My Rx for example becomes slightly less effective if I consume Vitamin C drops.)
