Usually when a car is repossessed they come and get it. It's not a question of you turning it in. You can continue to use it until they come and get it. Either way, it's a black mark on your credit record and you may be held responsible for the difference between the balance owed on it and what they eventually get for it when it's sold.

Yes, and of course refusal to give it back if they ask ( but they will merely come in the middle of the night or come to where you work and tow it off)


But they will keep hunting till they find it, and it will be a lot worst on your credit report

I have to say this gave me a laugh. Like you have a choice in the matter. Repossession means that they TAKE possession of the car. You may hide it for awhile, but eventually they will find it and tow it or hot wire it and drive it away.
