    Neighbor problems
Okay so let me start from the beginning...
So a family friend moved in downstairs about two weeks ago. He didn't have any money but he drives.. So I paid for his gas and he takes me to work and always says he'll pay me back. He borrows money for other things that he doesn't even tell me the reason, He's even borowed from my boyfriend! Well I asked him for the money back and he starts yelling at me and being a total jerk. He says that he buys food and that I eat his food and such and such. Well he doesn't and now I'm the hole... he owes me 253.72... I kept track of everything that I gave him money for I wrote down the amount and date.. I even let him use my debit card and he withdrew 40 for gas! For some I have receipts, others I don't.. While he was yelling and shouting at me he said he'd pay me back Friday, which is two days away. I don't know if he's going to because he was all upset and such... So now I'm screwed I need to know what to do to get my money back should he not pay ALL of my money back. I need to know how to take him to court and how to prove he should pay me that much when I don't have receipts for everything!!

    PLEASE HELP ME!

Okay. My first response is, that I hope you have learned a lesson here. It's okay to lend money, just make sure that you have everything documented as well as having a person you are lending money to sign some kind of promise that they will pay you back.

You could always try small claims and put on it that he is also responsible for the court costs of the litigation. You could get the papers from the court to fill out, fill them out and send him a copy showing him your intention of suing him. Just seeing that you are serious in your intent might be enough for him to hurry and pay you back.

It sounds like this is a person that you should just avoid having any contact with whatsoever if you can. He is a mooch of the 9th degree!
