    Thermostat and blown fuse
I changed my thermostat but it will not work. The help line expert said I need to check the fuse in my heating unit. I opened up the unit... but I cannot locate the fuse. He says it is a very inexpensive fuse but it will really cost if I call a repair man. Help:confused:

Thermal fuse is located on the back of the vent housing. It is about 3" long and about 3/8" wide. Cost is less than $12

What are we talking about, an A/C? Usually there will be circuit board inside the furnace or air handler. Open up the compartment you open to change the filters. You should see a cable coming from the thermostat with a bunch of color wires connected to the circuit board. On the board there will be a little square colored plastic thing sticking up. Sometimes they are a glass tube in a couple of clips. It should have a number on the top 3, 5, Take it to Wal-Mart and browse through the automotive electrical section for a fuse like it.
