    Chevy Cavalier Z24 1997
    Hi,
Today I had to replace the spark plugs and the ignition coils on my daughter's '97 Cavalier Z24. On the ICM there are 4 springs that press on the coils and I have lost one of them.
So my question is if anybody can tell me where I can find a replacement spring so I can fix that car.

    Thank you. :D

Any GM dealer that doesn't have that part in stock can order one.

Or kick some dust up at a salvage yard... in the long run, you'll save a nickel or two but spend more time.

Thank you CaptainRich! I thought the dealer won't have a part so small. I will try the closest dealer today. Thank you and have a nice day!

That spring might be part of a part...
After you describe where it goes, they'll explain...

    Hello CaptainRich!
    You are right again!
The real name of that "spring" is "Ignition coil contact". There are 4 and are placed in the "Ignition coil assembly" and they establish the contact between the 2 coils and the 4 spark plugs. The "spring" is number 13 in the picture of the ICM I have attached.
    Thank you!
