Trying to find the name of an 80's children's video.
There was an educational video that I remember watching when I was little. It was about two puppets a blue boy puppet and a red girl puppet that crash their rocket ship on earth and transported from different places like egypt and they had to solve math problems to try and get back to their rocket ship.
I remember in the egypt scene they were trying to solve a puzzle with a triangle or something and a mummy was chasing them. I believe they also went to Spain where the run of the bulls was going on or something. Please help I have been trying to find out the name of this teaching video.

    Thanks
    Ps. This isn't a cartoon.

I don't believe it is a movie, but a game. A computer game to be exact. It is called Math Blaster and it had movie sequences in it. Could that be it?

No, I used to play Math Blaster on the computer and that's not it. I remember getting the VHS and playing it on my TV. So I know it can't me a computer game. It was a learning video. And it wasn't a cartoon. It was made with puppets kind of like Jim Henson. Maybe it was only a limited release or something and that's why no one knows what I am talking about, lol.
Thanks for your help though. I totally forgot about Math Blaster! Ha ha ha

I was wondering if you ever found the answer to this movie? I am actually looking for the same video, have been for a while. It is actually about a brother and sister who are friends with a professor or scientist and he builds a time machine and they acidentally transport themselves to like all these different times and in each one they have to solve a puzzle or math thing to escape whatever was after them and get back to the time machine. I remember an egypt one with a mummy and these gold triangle things for the puzzle. There was also a robin hood scene with coins. I also remember it being puppet animated.

Let me know if you find out anything...

Yes, you know exactly what I am talking about. I think the first place they were transported was a tennis court or something weird like that. But anyway, no I have not found out the name of this educational video. I have no idea where it went. I am still on the search. But thanks for adding more detail. I forgot about the coins and Robin Hood. Wow, flashback.

    Thanks!

Professor mindbender's close encounters of the math kind, I just heard a sound effect from that video in an iPhone app sheep launcher that inspired me to search

I'm so glad other people are looking for this! I remember the two kids and their grandpa or someone building a time machine. They hit the controls when they're playing baseball or something, and I think they even go back to dinosaur times. I think I remember something about counting hatched dino eggs? I definitely remember the pyramid part where they're chased by a mummy and the part with the Robin Hood story. There is a song in one of the parts that goes, "Addition, subtraction, let's put these numbers into action. Addition, subtraction... oooh! Numbers can be such fun!" LOL how cheesy but it gets stuck in my head. It's like a calypso song and I want to say it was during the Robin Hood part. I really hope we can find this mess!

Yeah, I think initially Robin Hood stole from the poor and gave to the rich and the kid puppets convinced him it was better the other way around... so they had to begin counting frantically before the king came back when they sang that song...

    Anyway, I'm joining the search.

I feel like it was 'adventures in math' or 'adventures in numbers' but Google doesn't seem to know about it. I'll have to go to my parents and dig through their old VHS tapes if they still have them. I know mine had a box and also had a book that had worksheets from the video to follow along with.

FOUND IT! Actually my sister did, she went on a search rampage when I asked her about it. It's called Math: Add Ventures of the Time Taxi and you can even watch it on Youtube! Here is a link Math: Add Ventures of the Time Taxi Part 1 - YouTube
