Replacing Hampton Bay Fan: Can I used existing Wired Switch?
    Hello,

No luck finding this with search, so my apologies if this is obvious. I am looking to replace 2 existing Hampton Bay fans in a home I recently purchased. They work fine, but look very dated. Both fans have existing wired wall switches with a light switch/dimmer and a wired fan speed controller. The fans are probably the age of the house... call it 15 years.

I assume that if I purchase a new Hampton Bay fan I should be able to utilize this existing wiring and have to mess around with new wiring or the RF wall remotes? Is this accurate? Is it as simple as not connecting the remote device and utilizing the existing wiring in the fan to replicate how the previous fan was connected to utilize the light and speed wall control?

If you buy new fans that do not come with remtoes or wall controls you can use the existing controls.
