How old are you and are you on birth control? It sounds to me like melasma also known as "pregnancy mask" - I have this condition and I am 35. It was caused by years on birth control and sunbathing. If it looks like dirt/moustache then that is what I bet it it. 1st - if your on birth control get off it. There is not a good alternative "pill" available. You can NEVER go in the sun again without spf 30. And I mean NEVER! If you sun, it will make it worse and after you remove it - it will come back even with 5 minutes of sun exposure.

Ok - the only product that removes it is HYDROQUONIN and the over the counter products do not work so save your money. You need a 4% - 6% hydroquinone and you have to visit a dermatologist to get this. This process takes about a year. I finally spend $1,000 to have laser treatments to remove - it took five. Good luck - go to the dermo as you can't fix it with any over the counter products
