Have a look at this: Comparison of display technology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For both this and your other question.

I went to the site but I could not get clear picture about the technology. I would like to know the difference in simple and layman language.

Well, you should have asked for it in simple and layman language in your question. You can click on the links in my link for more information about the technologies. If you come across a term that you're not familiar with, you can look it up in Google or in wikipedia to find a definition. Learning is fun! :)

By the way, you shouldn't use the rate function for answers you can't understand. It's meant to be used for incorrect answers. If you don't understand, just say so in the thread and we'll be happy to help in explaining it.

Thanks for your help. I have already found out from AlltheWeb.com which helped me to give good results. I had heard about this site on TV and I was excited about this site that I would get good response from the community but disappointment when I got a link where I got totally confused. Anyway thanks for help.

As Mr Garrison says, "There are no Stupid Questions only STUPID people."
    You got to love Southpark

So you ask a badly formatted question and the go off and use a second rate search engine.
    Good for you, well done.

LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors are new and... Blah blah blah.
Then follows a page of cut and past from another site.

If you like to play video games then a lcd is much better. Plasma is on its way out
As for hd TV, and movies lcd is still better.
