If you're not getting any water at all, you may have a valve turned off. Hot water heaters have an on/off valve for the cold water inlet and also often another on the outlet (the hot water side) - - make sure they are both on.
If water comes out but it's always cold, check the following:
1. Is the thermostat set properly?
2. If it's a gas unit - does the ignition work properly?
2. If it's electric - has the circuit breaker tripped?
Is hot water off to all faucets? No cold out of the hot side at all? Please give us more details. Is this a whole house problem or just one faucet? Let us hear from you. Tom
