    I think Im pregnant?
[F]My fiancé and I had sex on the 18th of July, I got my period on August the 7th. Between the time of our sex and my period, I have had signs of pregnancy. (This would be my second) Not only that I am still experiencing some signs. Here are the signs I have had: heavy urination, fatigue, constantly hungry ( I don't eat that often), breasts feel fuller, heavier, and tender, and the main thing is that my abdomen where my uterus is; is perfectly shaped the same way it was when I was pregnant with my last. On top of that, it is firm and I have felt quivers throughout the area. I have taken a pregnancy test, about 4 1/2 weeks after we had sex, and it said negative. The main thing I worry about with this pregnancy test is the negative and its time when I took it. My first pregnancy, I took a pregnancy test and it said negative, so I took another one around a month later and it said positive, the only way that I found out for sure was because I went to the doctor and had blood drawn. Please help! My fiancé and I really want this baby. :)

It's a possibility but you stated that you had your period... What type of bleeding did you have? Was it normal period bleeding or was it shorter or lighter? Bleeding can happen during early pregnancy and can be perfectly normal if not accompanied by cramping. The aspect that stinks is that all of the symptoms you have stated can be from other medical reasons or from simply having a strong desire to become pregnant. I would wait another 14 days and take another HPT; if you still believe you are pregnant then see your doctor for a blood test, quantitative if possible. For now, treat your body as if you were pregnant just in case and GOOD LUCK!!

For starters, please don't take this as inconsiderate, I understand the want for child...

I do not think you are pregnant. I think the symptoms you felt during the time between your session and your period were from PMS. Unfortunately, as Rank said, the symptoms mirror each other... and in your case, were followed by a mensus. It is a lack of bleeding that is a sign of pregnancy, and while some do have light bleeding early on, it is very rare and not normally like a regular flow. Also, it is far too early to be feeling any type of movement, your baby is only approximately an inch long. What you are probably feeling is gas or bowels... a feeling I myself noticed often and mistook at times after I miscarried last year... As Rank said, when you want something so bad, as we typically do when trying to conceive, it is easy to fool our bodies... As always, I could be wrong, I hear something new everyday, but judging by the info you gave, I honestly believe your are not pregnant... good luck.

Thank you for your answer, I just wanted to let you know that I have never had these symptoms before with a period, and I have too, heard that if there is a high want-to or whatever that your body can play tricks on you, however I do not believe this is the case, because, as bad as this sounds I didn't really want another baby right now until about a week ago. I was hoping I wasn't pregnant until about a week ago. As for the feelings in my abdomen, I wasn't assuming it was the baby, I should have better explained myself, I believe that it was my uterus, moving or adjusting to whatever. I don't know, I maybe all wrong. Anyway, I greatly appreciate your help and efforts, Thank you.

All periods are different... but ultimately, we as women know our own bodies best. I wish the best of luck to you! :)

Hi Ihave just put a post up being in a slightly similar situation. I am constantly using the toilet I have never wee'd so much. I am 90 percent sure I am 'not' pregnant but then I read posts like yours and I have to re evaluate, I have also had quiver or butterfly tingle in this part of my stomach I didn't realise that was a sign. I thought it was me being silly? Or in my imagination.

Most over the counter pregnancy tests will not give you a positive until around eight weeks whether they cost a dollar or a hundred dollars. If you happen to take another always remember this: There is never such a thing as a false positive. If you take a home pregnancy test that says positive then make yourself a doctor's appointment, cause honey your pregnant.

This is not entirely accurate - false positives indeed happen, for different reasons, normally not an issue with the test, but either from an early miscarriage, some kinds of medications or even in very rare cases cancer... They are extremely rare, but not quite non-existent.

Again, unaccurate. Please do not post in medical boards unless you know the facts.

There are many many reasons for false positives. Expired test, for one. Certain medications, for another.
