    Bose Radio
Does anyone have any idea why the cd player on my bose radio would stop playing and the radio will play fine?

Couple things. I am assuming this is the older one with the top loading CD. If it is put a CD in and press play. Then after about two seconds lift the top. Is the CD spinning? If yes, try using a CD lens cleaner and some compressed air to clean it out. If not spinning it need to be repaired. I believe they can do a flat rate for $125 (that's not a quote) that repairs everything and then gives you a new warranty for a full year. It's kind of like buying the extended warranty when you need it. If it's the front loading CD, it will probably need to go in for service. You can call Bose at 800-367-4008

Thanks a lot. You are right. It is the top loading one cd player. I love it so much. I would be willing to pay the 125 to get it fixed... it's a very good sound and I have used it a lot. I will call the number provided.. thanks so much

Weird, it's pretty common after a few years for dust to settle on the lens. I am surprised that it didn't work. I would still try the canned air. Also check other CD's and make sure they are clean. Good luck bro.
