You could get on a prescription medication to help but you might have to wait a few years for it to completely clear up while your body matures. I've found acne.org to be really helpful in tips and discussions and they also sell a variety of products to help.

Oh and don't be too rough on your face when your washing up. Use your bare hands instead of a washcloth (it could irritate the blemishes further).

Have you been to see a dermatologist? My cousin had awful acne at 15 and she took the prescription and her acne was almost all cleared up by the time she was 16. She still had breakouts and continued the medicine until 17 but now her skin is gorgeous and is totally clear.

It's normal for teenagers to get acne. Teenagers get acne because of the hormones that come with puberty. The sebaceous glands may become overactive and clogs the pores, causing the start of acne. Try washing your face twice a day with warm water and a mild cleanser, then benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to help treat the acne. If you do not see any improvement after 1-2 months, ask your mom to take you to see a dermatologist. Dermatologists can prescribe treatments that help to prevent and clear up acne.

Pimples at your age is common thing so don't be too worried about it.. Just take some preventive measures like,

    - Drink lots of water.
    - Wash your face 4-5 times a day.
    - Use wipes.
    - Use Water-based and Oil-free Skin Care Products.
    - Avoid oily and fatty foods and eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean protein.

Here I would also like to suggest that before using any face cream first consult your doctor, he might better suggest a medicine or cream as per your skin.

    Thanks..

Just an FYI: Check the dates on the questions. This one is from 2007, so I imagine the problem has been resolved.
