    Unknown icon on desktop
    An unknown icon just showed up on my desktop. It is a windows icon with one of these ~ below it. Does anyone know what this is and if its OK to just delete it?

    I get that also - I delete it but it just comes back.
    Would be grateful for any help about what it is and why it is there.

    I just found out on annoyances.org what this is and how to get rid of it. Here's the info that was given me. Just thought I'd pass on the info


    That's thanks to MS, a bug in a previous OE update. It can be deleted.

    Yes, that is definitely an Outlook Express issue. It can be easily deleted with an unfortunate side effect but nothing major.
