Hair colour removal using sulphur based product

I have been dying my hair for about 11 years and my natural colour is auburn. I have bleach blonde foils in the top half of my hair and the underneath is a brown permanent hair dye. I am wishing to go back to my natural colour without having to have all my hair cut off or grow it out. I am looking for a treatment that would strip all the dye out of my hair. Is this possible. I saw Extreme makeover on TV the other day and they stripped some lady's hair colour with something that contained sulphur. Any ideas on what that is??

If you want to go back to auburn, you will need to pre-lighten the dark areas of your hair with bleach and then apply your desired color. It would be best to go to a salon and have it professionally done.

Since you have a combination of colors in your hair (bleach, peranant color... ) it would be a little more complicated unfortunately. You could use a color remover on the nape section of your hair that contains the permanent color, but since you have highlights on top those blonde pieces already have all the color stripped out so you would have to add color back into those. Your best bet would be to continue with getting foils, but instead of going super blonde tone the lighter pieces with something closer to your natural color. That will be the option that will keep your hair in the best condition. Instead of a partial foil get a full foil to start removing the color on the nape section of your hair. Good luck.
