My Dachshund is getting aggressive ?
Hi I have a problem with my Dachshund, its because he got very attached to me and for example when I have visits he gets very aggressive to them until he goes close to them and barks a them and shows theeth, and it happened two times that he bitted.
But then after that he can be very caring to that same person and 5 minutes after he makes that he can be laying down clothe to that person with the head on his legs looking very sweet...

Even if I grab the persons hand for the dog to smell the person its very dificult, but when my daughter makes that of grabing the hand of the person that just arrives at home he barks a litle bit but then after smelling everything goes OK...

I really don't know what to do or where to go to search for help.

    Thanks,
    Bye

How old is he? Dog's personalities are not mature until they are 3 years old. As they mature, they take on more and more responsibility to protect themselves and their people. You need to teach him you are in charge, and you decide what to do with strange people. Having a good pack structure reduces such problems. The dogs see all the
People and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in
The pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members
Outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by
Reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class
Or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with
    A treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/.
