Water backfilling from kitchen sink into bath tub
Hi was wondering what might be causing this problem by chance I just bought this home for a reasonable price had to do some plumbing work on it but the bath tub water will not go down I've snaked and used chemicals to get it to go but nothing as well the kitchen sink water backs up into the bath tub as well.

Your drain is plugged after the sink/tub connection. If you can safely get on the roof I'd rod down the vent pipe with a 25' rodder. If the roof is too steep look for the nearest cleanout and rod from there.

Bal's correct. You need to snake the drain. If you have run a snake down the drain you didn't put out enough cable to hit the clog. Since the clog's downstream from the kitchen and the tub you have options. You can snake from the tub overflow or the kitchen roof vent. If you go from the roof put out enough cable to get to the base and 25 foot more. Good luck, Tom
