    Stress affecting period
OK so Im just about to go into my sophomore year of high school, and this weekend I am going camping with my boyfriends family, and next weekend both ofour families are going camping and Im really nervous about it. So I have a lot of stress currently. I got my period yesterday and it was a lot heavier than normal. Is it because of the stress? And is there anything I can do about it?

I do remember that stress and planning a vacation would generally set my cycle off whack at your age. Chocolate and yogurt would help with the cramping - you could also us magnesium tablets, but there is not much you can do about the flowing.

What finally helped me was when the doctor suggested the pill due to dysmenorrhea - that regulated me a bit.

Just wait a bit and you'll get some more great advice from experts here.

    Good luck.
