Determining how much power i have
Hello all... im not electrician, but just trying to determine if I can put in a ON DEMAND electrical water heater.

Kind of confused whether I have a 100 amp, or 200 amp service.

I have an old style Amalgamated Electric Corp fuse type box.
There are 2 x 100amp breakers in there.
    Does this mean I have 100 or 200 (2x100?? )

I think the heater is going to need about 80 amp when used... will this work?

Ah you... im not doing this myself... dont want to scare anyone! Just seeing whether its an option;)

    thanks
    [email protected] is email...

This is a 100 amp service.

And no, adding an 80 amp load will not work at all on this service, unless this service will only feed the water heater.
