    Windows error message
    I have a DELL Dimension 9100 running WinXP Pro. The computer has a RAID hard drive configuration. Recently the hard drives were changed by a DELL rep. Now, when booting up I receive the following error message: "Windows - No Disk. There is no disk in drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\HardDrive1\DR."

    I can delete this error message after a few tries, but then I'm not able to install my printer software. When the printer software starts installing, I then receive another error message:"Windows - No disk. Exception Processing Messagae cc00000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 7b66f9c 75b6bf9c. Can anyone steer me in a direction to fix this problem? Thanks, John

    Go back to Dell and have them fix it if they messed it up

    Yeah... it almost sounds like he installed a new version of Windows from a removable drive. The install program is looking for the place where Windows was loaded from so it can grab some files and it can't find it.
    Best bet is to go back to Dell and have them fix it.
    If that takes too long you could search for \Device\HardDrive1\DR in the registry and change it to your CD/DVD drive. Don't do this though unless you know what you're doing. (You've been warned)

    Thanks ScottGem and jstrike for your prompt replys. I'd like to add that I did in fact go back to DELL and spent 3 hours on the phone with them trying to fix this problem. They had me disable my FLOPPY Drive in the BIOS. What that had to do with it I don't know, but it still didn't solve the problem . Furthermore, the DELL rep only replaced 2 hard drives and inserted the Reinstall disk and started the format procedure then left my home. It's hard spending hours on the phone with a Dell rep from another country that's why I'm hoping someone like you can point me in the right direction . Can you suggest anything else? Thanks, John

    You could also try the dell online support, if you're still having issues. They've always been much more helpful to me than the phone techs.
