    Long wait for hot water
Should I have to run the hot water in my new condo from any faucet for two minutes before it gets hot?

How far is the water heater from your condo... what floor are you on? Is this just first thing in the morning?

Kp2171 asked pertinent questions. If the water heater's some distance away then all the cool water in the main and branch will have to be run out so hot water can get from the heater to your bathroom fixtures. If that's the case then the only solution would be to (a) run a return line(recirculating lime). Or,(b) install a small "kicker heater" in the attic in series with the existing hot water feed. Your choice. Regards, Tom
