Why do you want to meet him? It sounds like he came to peace with whatever you did so why do you want to push it further?

Is what you said or did making you loose sleep?
Do you want more from him?
Do you feel the need to 'protect' him from this other woman?

You were not too specific, so there is not much we can help you with, but for right now, I'd leave him alone and get on with life.
