    Divorce and outstanding bills
Our daughters husband went to Florida about a year ago. She has seen him once for 5 days since-he keeps telling her that when his job is going well he will send for her. Hardly any communication is coming from him. Since this time she is still working here to try to keep up on the bills--of which he is not paying any of. Their house is up for foreclosure.
The house is in his name only--if this happens will it hurt her credit standing. He also has taken out loans that she did not know about and did not sign on. Is she responsible for these? She signed on one of his old school loans--is she respnsible for that one? Can she
File for abondonment? What are her options?

Depending on where she is, its possible that she is responsible for debts incurred during the marriage even if she didn't sign. The foreclosure shouldn't affect her cridit if she is not on the mortgage or deed.

But I agree with harley, she needs an attorney to protect her interests.
