My home has a 100 amp panel, all provided circuits are now full, I want to add a hot tub circuit (approximately 45 feet from main panel) of course I'll need to install an additional auxiliary panel to accommodate the hot tub circuit. What is the best way to power this auxiliary circuit breaker panel? What size wire should I use? I Plan to connect the auxiliary directly from the conductors powering my house.

A subpanel needs to be protected by it's own breaker downstream of the Main breaker. Nothing can be connected to the line of the Main Breaker.

Before you add a 50 amp hot tub, which will probably actually draw close to 40 amps, you need to do have a service rating calculations done to see if the 100 amp service can handle the added load.

Provide the total square foot of livable space, along with a list of all major electric appliances, including type of heat and size of air conditioning.

I really doubt your service can safely handle the add load of a hot tub.
