It has been three months since I moved out on my ex boyfriend and ended our relationship. There was a lot of turmoil in our relationship & we both made mistakes. Due to his mistakes my family & friends really really disliked him.
Recently I have been talking to him & seeing him & wondering how I could possibly make it work if that's what I want. He makes it quite obvious that he wants me back in his life as soon as possible. I'm holding off on that because I want to know its not going to be the same as before. That he has honestly made an effort to alter his old ways.
I want to be with him but not if I don't have the support of my friends and family because that means A LOT to me. I don't want to go back into a relationship that I am unsure of & risk hurting him. Any advice?

If you haven't figured out what was wrong before, and worked together to correct it, it will be there between you still.

If he is so ready to prove himself, why not hang out with your family and prove to them he's changed. I believe people can change but it usually doesn't happen in 3 months and under force which this is. Change comes from with in, not from the outside so while he may seem different (and he may be, to be fair to him) 3 months is not enough time to find out if that change is permanent.
